How the service works, what you get, and why we built it for Sacramento.
Send Me Flights is a flight deal alert service built exclusively for Sacramento-area travelers departing from Sacramento International Airport (SMF).
We monitor fares across hundreds of routes around the clock. When we find a genuinely great deal — typically 30–60% below the typical price — we send you an email alert with the price, travel window, airline, and a direct link to book.
Google Flights and Kayak require you to go search — you need to already know where and when you want to go. We flip the model: we do the searching for you, and only reach out when something is genuinely worth your attention.
We're focused on what actually matters to Sacramento travelers — routes and prices from SMF, with context on Bay Area alternatives when the savings genuinely justify the drive.
Anyone who lives in or around Sacramento, flies from SMF, and wants to travel more without overpaying. It's particularly great for flexible travelers — people who can plan a trip around a great price rather than needing specific dates.
If you're the type to say "I'd love to go to Europe this summer but only if I find a decent fare," this service is for you.
Our primary revenue is your subscription fee. We may earn a small commission from affiliate partners in the future — but it never influences which deals we send or how we develop the service.
I fly out of SMF and want the best fares just as much as you do. That means real comparisons, no hidden incentives, and deals chosen because they're actually good — not because someone's paying us to promote them.
We only send alerts when a fare is significantly below what that route typically costs — generally 30% off or more. We compare against historical prices for the same route and season, so a "deal" is always relative to what's normal, not some inflated full-price sticker.
We also look at absolute value. A 30% discount on a $100 ticket is fine; a 40% discount on a $2,000 business class ticket is genuinely exciting. Both show up in alerts.
One more thing worth knowing: some services compare fares against the highest price ever recorded for a route, which makes mediocre fares look like massive savings. We compare against what a route actually costs in a given season — no inflated baselines, no tricks.
It varies by season and market conditions. You won't receive more than a handful per week — we'd rather send three great alerts than flood your inbox. When deals cluster, we space them out so you're never overwhelmed. We only send an alert when it's genuinely worth your attention.
Yes. We monitor both domestic US routes (Hawaii, New York, Chicago, Miami, and more) and international destinations across Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Pacific, and beyond.
Sacramento isn't a major hub, so many international routes will include a connection through LAX, SFO, or another gateway city. We factor this in — if a one-stop itinerary from SMF still beats flying nonstop from SFO after accounting for the drive, we'll tell you.
Primarily roundtrip, since that's how most leisure travelers book and that's where the biggest savings typically appear. If we find a standout one-way deal, we'll note it clearly in the alert.
We verify prices at the time we send the alert, but airline fares change continuously. We send alerts as quickly as possible after spotting a deal, but some fares disappear within minutes or hours. Acting sooner generally gives you better odds of locking it in.
If the exact price has moved, it's worth searching nearby dates — sales often span several windows and the deal might still be live on slightly different dates.
Right now, nearly all of our deals depart from Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Occasionally, if a fare from SFO or OAK genuinely beats SMF pricing — even after accounting for the drive, parking, and your time — we'll include it. SMF is always the default; Bay Area departures are the rare exception.
This service is built for people who prefer flying from SMF. If you regularly fly out of SFO or OAK, there are excellent services focused on those airports. We're not the right fit — yet. 😉
No — for now we only cover SMF. We may expand to additional Northern California regional airports in the future, but our focus is on building the best possible service for SMF travelers first.
The best plan depends on your flexibility and budget.
Monthly ($4.99/mo): Great for trying the service, or for travelers with vacation time to burn. Sign up, catch a deal, book the trip — as long as you're saving money and getting to travel, we're happy.
Annual ($29.99/yr): Built for frequent flyers, flexible schedules, remote workers, and deal hunters who love to travel. Send Me Flights was born from the desire to go somewhere different, as often as possible, for as little as possible. The annual plan is for people who feel the same way.
Both plans include a 14-day free trial. See the pricing page for full details.
There's no free tier, but both plans include a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until after your trial ends — cancel before then and you pay nothing.
If you have questions during or after your trial, email support@sendmeflights.com.
Yes. Cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us. Monthly subscribers keep access through the end of their billing period. Annual subscribers keep access through the end of their paid year.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards. You'll receive a receipt from Stripe on each billing date. We never store your card information.
Yes — email support@sendmeflights.com and we'll sort it out. Your annual plan can start at the end of your current monthly billing cycle.
No — we send the deal, you book it. Every alert includes a link to view the flight and lock in the price directly through the airline or your preferred booking platform.
We recommend booking directly with the airline when possible — it's easier to manage changes, cancellations, and upgrades.
Google Flights is free, fast, and shows prices across a calendar view so you can find the cheapest nearby dates. We link to it because it's genuinely the best tool for exploring the deal window.
You can absolutely book through any platform you prefer — the airline's direct site, Expedia, wherever. The fare should be the same; just verify it before completing the purchase.
Our alerts are cash-fare deals, not award deals. That said, knowing a route is on sale can be useful for points travelers too — airlines sometimes release saver award space alongside cash fare sales. You'd need to check your loyalty program separately.
We collect your email address (to send alerts), payment information (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card), and basic subscription status. We also use standard email analytics — opens and clicks — to understand which deals are most useful. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
We don't track your browsing, build an advertising profile on you, or do anything with your data we wouldn't want done with our own.
Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email support@sendmeflights.com and we'll remove you immediately. Note that unsubscribing from emails is separate from cancelling your subscription — you'd need to cancel billing separately if you want to stop being charged.
Email support@sendmeflights.com with a deletion request. We'll cancel your subscription, remove your email from our list, and delete your account data within 21 business days.
